Meet Dr. Naylor
Dr. Carpia Naylor is a versatile educational leader with a distinguished career spanning various roles within the education sector. She leverages her expertise in educational leadership to foster a culture of continuous improvement and student-centered support. Through collaborative efforts, she champions initiatives that promote equity, inclusion, and academic success for all students. She is recognized for her ability to establish strategic frameworks, conducive learning environments, and effective instructional systems that foster student success. She has served as a district-level systems leader; a high school Academic Coach, an Assistant Principal, a choral director, and an English teacher.
Dr. Naylor is affiliated with esteemed professional organizations including the American Evaluator’s Association, Indiana Evaluation Association, United States Distance Learning Association, and the National Tutoring Association. She has been recognized for her contributions to education with prestigious awards such as the Thomas Ward Fellowship from Harvard University, an Indiana Evaluation Association (IEA) scholarship, and has been recently named as a 2024 Cambiar Catalyst Fellow.
Dr. Naylor holds a Doctor of Education (EdD) in Educational Leadership from Southwestern College, an Education Specialist (EdS) in Instructional Leadership from William Carey University, a Master of Science (MS) degree in Education Administration, Supervision, and Leadership from Jackson State University, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Music-Piano Performance from Tougaloo College.
